Lycksele is a city in the Northern Province of Lappland and dates back to 1607. The pattern Lycksele was inspired by a Sami weave pattern called "Västerbotten drällen". The Sami people or "Lappar" as they are also called in Swedish is an ethnic minority in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
