Gotland is Sweden's largest Island and is the home to the wild Gotland pony called "Gotlands Russ". The breed is claimed to descend from now extinct Tarpan ponies that lived on the island after the last ice age. The Gotland Russ is the only breed of pony native to Sweden. The ponies are pictured on the socks and mittens.
